The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it is alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area daily. The service position designed for intervention encounters a large inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it hard for your office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more means to enable the servicing of all buyers and boost usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
